S355JR PLATES are versatile plates having outstanding attributes. It has a composition of resisting alloying elements that improve overall corrosion resistance. It is high strength and low ductile alloy. The brittle fracture can occur in the plates when subjected to tensile stress in down temperatures. In uncertain conditions where the fabrication conditions the low toughness weld filler materials used. The brittle fracture can also occur at nominal temperatures. The problem is alleviated by specifying steel and welded joints with inappropriate fracture toughness.

The JR standard conforms that plates are undergone to longitudinal Charpy V impact testing about 27 joules at nominal temperatures. The S stands for structural steel. The JR symbol represents 20 temperature impact tests. These plates are ideal for fabrication application even in commercial applications.

Other tests are the hydro testing, destructive/non-destructive test, intergranular corrosion test, flaring test, flattening test, and third-party inspection.

Other reports are attested certificate by third parties, heat treatment charts, disinfection certificates, packing lists like net and gross weight, quantity and marks and number stamping details, incorporate chemical composition and hardness details after heat treatment.
